Welcome to Alethea Healing Acupuncture. Please take a moment to review our most up-to-date office policies regarding cancellations, no-shows, illness, lateness, deposits, booking, service packages, and subscriptions. These policies help us maintain a respectful, supportive, and sustainable healing environment for all.

🔐 Initial Appointment Deposit Policy

A non-refundable deposit is required to book all Initial Appointments. This deposit will be applied to the cost of your first visit.

This policy ensures your time is reserved and respected, and allows us to maintain availability for clients seeking care. Appointments may still be rescheduled up to 24 hours in advance.

⏳ Late Arrivals

Please arrive on time for your appointment. If you are more than 15 minutes late, we may need to adjust or reschedule your session depending on the day’s schedule.

Late arrivals that prevent treatment may still be considered a missed appointment and the no-show fee may apply.

🕰️ Cancellation & No-Show Policy

Appointments may be rescheduled or canceled without penalty up to 24 hours before your scheduled time.

All methods create a time-stamped record; there’s no need to follow up unless you need assistance.

Late cancellations (within 24 hours) and no-shows are subject to a fee of 50% of the scheduled service rate.

🤒 Illnesses & Emergencies

We understand that illness or emergencies may prevent you from attending your appointment. If you’re not feeling well, please contact us before your appointment so we can determine whether in-person treatment is appropriate.

Acupuncture and other therapies may help relieve symptoms like:

  • Headaches & migraines

  • Digestive or reproductive discomfort

  • Aches and pains related to colds or flu

If appropriate, we may recommend you keep your appointment and wear a mask—especially in cases of mild coughing or sneezing.

If you are actively contagious (e.g., fever, persistent cough), we kindly ask that you stay home. In these cases, we are happy to offer a Telehealth session in place of your in-person visit.

Whether you’re contagious or unable to travel safely, remote consultations may include:

  • Acupressure

  • Gentle Qigong or breathwork

  • Nutrition and herbal support

Your health—and the wellbeing of our entire community—is our top priority.

🧘 Considerations & Grace Policy

Our booking system tracks all late cancellations and no-shows electronically.

If a client has 2 or more late cancellations or no-shows, we may:

  • Request prepayment for future appointments

  • Require booking directly through the office (not online)

  • In rare cases, decline future service

📦 Package & Subscription Policies

☑️ Package Policy

By purchasing a package, you agree to the following:

  • Packages are non-refundable after 30 days.

  • If a refund is requested within 30 days and the package has been opened, full rates will be applied to services already used, and a prorated refund will be issued by check, within 30 days from refund request.

  • A package is considered "opened" once a service has been redeemed from it.

  • Packages generally expire 3 months from the date of purchase unless stated otherwise.

  • Packages may be shared with one loved one, as confirmed by the package holder. Each individual must have completed an Initial Appointment before accessing services.

  • Service packages can only be used for the services specified at the time of purchase.

🗓 Acupuncture Subscriptions

  • Subscriptions auto-renew monthly from the original purchase date.

  • You may cancel at any time.

  • A payment reminder will be emailed 7 days before each renewal.

  • Subscription details are subject to change; however, your rate will not increase without your consent.

🎁 Gift Certificates & Holiday Packages

  • All gift certificates and promotional packages expire 1 year from the date of purchase.

  • These are non-refundable and must be used within the specified timeframe.

Initial Consultation & Acupuncture $150 (includes $50 deposit)

Follow-Up or Package Appointment $100

30-Minute Add-On Services $40–$55

45-Minute Add-On Facial Acupuncture $75

60-Minute Manual Therapeutics $100

90-Minute Arvigo Maya Abdominal Therapy $150

Medical Qigong / Reiki $150

Note: These are standard service rates and will apply in the event of a missed appointment, including for clients using Subscriptions and Packages.
